Cora E. Sykes, 97, of the 1900 block of Bethesda Court, died Oct. 28, 1995, in Camelot Nursing Home.
She was a domestic worker until she retired after 30 years of service. She was a native of Whallesville, Va., and a member of Garder of Prayer (NU)3 C.O.G.I.C. where she was a church mother.
She is survived by one grandchild; nine great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday by Elder Dan White in Garder of Prayer (NU)3 C.O.G.I.C. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
