Floyd Melverse Murden Sr., 53, of the 1300 block of West 26th St., died Oct. 30, 1995.
Mr. Murden was a native of Norfolk. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Murden; two daughters, Shelley Murden of Norfolk, Alice Foreman of Virginia Beach; one son, Floyd M. Murden Jr. of Norfolk; his mother, Alice Lee Thornton of Chesapeake; one sister, Dollie Mae Jackson of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Alicia Murden and Brittany Foreman of Virginia Beach; one son-in-law, Donald Foreman of Virginia Beach; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father George Murden and step-father, John Thornton.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in St. Mark RUZA, Norfolk, by the Rev. Virtie Merritt. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens.
