Dorothy L. Flaherty, born Feb. 24, 1921, daughter of Alpha and Mae Felter, of Germantown, Ohio, was received into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Oct. 31, 1995.
Dorothy was the devoted and loving wife of Charles W. Flaherty until his untimely death in 1969, a marriage of more than 30 years. The memory of Dorothy is preciously held in the hearts of her four children, Rhea, her oldest daughter; Charles, her oldest son; Patrick, her youngest son; and her youngest daughter, Anne; as well as her five grandchildren; and her great-granddaughter. Dorothy will also be lovingly remembered by the wives and husbands of her four children; as well as the many friends that knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held for Dorothy at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk, at 7 p.m. Thursday. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Will Kiser-Lowrance. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
