CONNIE E. POTTS

Connie Lee Edwards Potts, of the 1700 block of Princeton Ave., died Oct. 30, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

She was a retired transportation clerk for the Naval Supply Center where she worked for 30 years, until she retired in 1975. She was a native of Murfreesboro, N.C., and was the widow of Bishop Naman H. Potts Sr. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter, Saint Thomas (NU)51. She was a member of Good News Family Worship Center, Norfolk, where she was a member of the Mothers Board.

She is survived by four daughters, Theresa B. Potts and Muriel V. Waff of Norfolk, Doris A. Poarch of Virginia Beach, and Annie V. Easley of New Haven, Conn.; four sons, Naman H. Potts Jr. of Chesapeake, Warner K. Potts of Norfolk, John W. Potts of Philadelphia, and William H. Potts of Richmond; two sisters, Alberta Pope of Franklin, Va., Alice P. Patterson of Suffolk; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday by Elder Levi E. Willis II in Good News Family Worship Center. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. A family Wake will be held in the Fitchett Funeral Home Chapel from 7 until 8 p.m. Friday.
