Willie E. Hunter, 60, of the 3600 block of Victory Blvd., died Oct. 29, 1995, in his home.
He was a native of Enfield, N.C., and was a member of the Deaf Missionary Church, Norfolk.
He is survived by two sisters, Ethel Ferebee and Velma Sherrod, both of Portsmouth; and brother, Monte Hunter of Portsmouth; one aunt, Mable Hardy; and 15 nieces and nephews; and 30 great-nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday by Pastor Dan Dowdy in Deaf Missionary Church, Norfolk. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. The family will be at the home of his sister, Ethel Ferebee, 79 Manly St., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral procession. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
