Many letters have appeared on this page in past months complaining of the havoc that is being wreaked on our health-care system in the name of ``reform.'' As a clinical psychologist in private practice, I could certainly add my voice to that chorus of complaint. However, with Election Day approaching, I want to urge everyone to do something positive: Vote. Vote for candidates who would protect the health-care system, public and private, that we depend on.
Howard Copeland is such a candidate. He has pledged to do everything he can to keep the ``effective'' in ``cost-effective'' health care. I urge his constituents to return Delegate Copeland to the Virginia Assembly. And I suggest all voters look carefully at the candidates' positions on this critical issue.
