Let me see if I can get this straight: Public airports are stepping up security, largely because of the moods of terrorists, while the world's largest naval base is opening its gates for the convenience of civilians who work there and to attract tourists.
I fail to see the logic. Ships that fought in the Middle East are berthed at this base. I predict that Rear Adm. Robert E. Cole will rue the day he made this decision.
Perhaps we can sell the naval base to the Disney group.
