George D. Fisher Jr., 64, died Oct. 26, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk.
Mr. Fisher was a self-employed truck driver for CFE Air Cargo Inc., Norfolk, until his retirement on disability in 1981. He was a native of Mifflintown, Pa. He had an interest in antique cars and belonged to the Classic Chevy International Club, Antique Automobile Club of America, Model A Restorers Club and the the local Virginia Chevy Lovers, Mason Dixon Classic Chevy and Cape Henry Model A Club.
Survivors include his wife, June Fisher; two daughters, Gail Jacobs of Dover, Del., Resa Fry of Mifflin, Pa.; one son, Bryan Fisher of Chesapeake; his mother and stepfather, Bertha and Robert Sarver of Newport, Pa.; one sister, Mae Varner of Felton, Pa.; one brother, Howard Fisher of New Cumberland, Pa.; three grandchildren, Joshua and Joseph Jacobs of Dover, and Michelle Fry of Mifflin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, George D. Fisher Sr.
The funeral was conducted Sunday, Oct. 29, 1995, in Thompsontown, Pa., by Pastor David Biser. Information was supplied by Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
