Bobby L. Block, 35, of the 600 block of Jefferson St., died Oct. 30, 1995, in Maryview Hospital.
He was a cook for Omni Hospital, where he worked for 18 years. He was a native of Norfolk and a former member of New Mt. Olive Church, Chesapeake.
He is survived by his mother, Ernestine L. Block of Portsmouth; three sisters, Denise Barnes, Subrina Williams, and Ludrena Block, all of Portsmouth; two brothers, Michael Block and Shelby Simmons, both of Portsmouth; maternal grandmother, Louise Block; paternal grandmother, Malolia Parker; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends, and a special friend, Eveleen Giles.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. by the Bishop Maurice Johnson in Garden of Prayer (NU)4, C.O.G.I.C., Portsmouth. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. today. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Saturday.
