The Cuyahoga County Health Department said a few people have reported becoming sick after eating Royal Ice Cream Co. recalled products. Authorities had not confirmed a link between the illnesses and the products recalled by the Cleveland-based company. The products have the potential to be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause fatal illness in young children, frail or elderly people. Most of the products were distributed in northern Ohio. But, some may be found in other states, including Virginia and North Carolina. The products carry manufacturing codes between 95244 and 95291. Brands affects include Pierre's and Royal and store brands such as Heinen's, Eagle, Medic, Shoprite and Marc's. (AP)
