Police have identified a 17-year-old who was fatally shot Tuesday in the 500 block of Edwards St.
He was Marco Marsh of the 700 block of Godwin St. in Portsmouth. Marsh was found in the courtyard of an apartment complex about 3:15 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police arrested 39-year-old Andrew Thomas Jr., a Newport News resident, on Tuesday. He was charged with murder and use of a firearm.
