Florence L. Keating, 81, of Sentara Nursing Center, Newtown Road, died Nov. 2, 1995, in her residence.
She was a native of Norfolk and the widow of Woodrow T. Keating Sr. She was a member of Indian River Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Coral Chapter (NU)3, Canal Zone, Panama.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra K. Waterfield and husband, Charles E. of Chesapeake; two sons, Woodrow T. Keating Jr. of Norfolk and William R. Keating of Chesapeake; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Richard G. Keating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Robert E. Jordan in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
