Jeanine Schmit Hawkes, 70, died Nov. 3, 1995.
She was a native of Luxembourg. She was a World War II war bride, and she made her life work as a mother and homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Josette H. Sills of Vienna, Va., and Peggy L. Hawkes of Virginia Beach; three sons, Robert A. Hawkes of Virginia Beach, Michael L. Hawkes of Valleto, Calif., and William J. Hawkes of Buena Vista, Va.; one sister; five grandchildren, Christopher A. Gilbert, Holly J. Meadows, Richard M. Hawkes, Rasoul R. Hawkes, and Alexandra A. Ackerman; and two great-grandchildren, Bryan R. Meadows and Alyssa J. Meadows. She was predeceased by a daughter, Vivian A. Hawkes.
All services will be private. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, in charge.
