The latest phase of the ``Norfolk Sweeps Clean'' campaign will begin Monday with a kickoff rally in Norfolk's Northside Park, Shelter No. 2, starting at 9 a.m.
The event is the launching point for the Second Patrol Red Sector ``Sweeps'' project, scheduled for Nov. 6 to 17, the third in a series of planned sector-wide code compliance surveys.
Norfolk City Council proposed the ``Sweeps'' initiative early this year.
Immediately after the kickoff, about 30 Norfolk Codes Administration staffers and Norfolk Health Department personnel will begin their team inspections of neighborhoods in the city's Northwest corner. by CNB
