Percy L. Forbes, of the 1300 block of Transylvania Ave., died Nov. 3, 1995.
He was a retired painter for the U.S. Postal Service and the widower of Geneva Forbes. He was a Baptist and was in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by two daughters, Marsha E. Powell of San Diego, Calif., Marion V. Allen of Jacksonville, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Deloris Hall and Ella Gatewood, both of Chesapeake; brother-in-law, Robert Scott of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren; and a host of devoted relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted noon Monday by the Rev. Joseph Lassiter in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Metropolitan Funeral Service in charge.
