Marion ``Bonnie'' Blake Stackhouse, 41, of the 100 block of Blake Road, died Nov. 4, 1995, in her home.
Mrs. Stackhouse was a native of Orange, N.J., and spent her later years in Norfolk, where she was active in many civic programs. She was very involved in support of the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, serving as a member of the Maltese Cross Circle, as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Norfolk City Union of the King's Daughters, and as Chairman of the Run for the Children in 1990. She was also a Past President of the Tidewater Artists Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the Share Program, and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Norfolk. She was employed at Norfolk Academy until her illness, where she spent many happy years in the development and publication departments.
She is survived by her loving husband, R. Clinton Stackhouse, Jr.;, her beloved children Kate Lee Stackhouse and Hunter Blake Stackhouse; her father, James L. Blake of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Judy Barnes of San Clemente, Calif., Ellen Graham of Chesapeake, Kathy Krun of Wilmington, Del.; her husband's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Stackhouse of Norfolk; and several niece and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd by The Reverend Ross Wright. The family will receive friends after the service in the Memorial Hall of the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters, the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, or to the Norfolk Academy. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Norfolk Chapel are handling arrangements.
