YVETTE B. JOHNSON

Yvette D. Blackwell Johnson, of the 700 block of Huybert Place, died Nov. 11, 1995, in Chesapeake.

She attended Norfolk Vocational Technical Center with a license in cosmetology. She was a certified nursing assistant and a native of Norfolk. She was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church, Norfolk, and also a devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church, Norfolk. She graduated form Norview High School in 1982. She was in the U.S. Army.

She is survived by two daughters, Erika D. Johnson and Yolanda D. Johnson, both of Norfolk; parents, Juliette E. and Calvin L. Blackwell Sr., both of Norfolk; sister, Paulette Blackwell of Norfolk; brother, Calvin L. Blackwell Jr. of Norfolk; grandparents, Mr. Julius Williams and Mr. Sandy Blackwell, both of Norfolk; former husband, Daniel E. Johnson of Fort Bragg, N.C.; stepmother, Gloria Blackwell of Norfolk; stepbrothers and sisters, Anthony Brown, Vernette Brown, and David Brown, all of Norfolk; fiance, Gary Hamilton of Norfolk; and a host of loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m Monday by the Rev. Harry A. Davis in Olive Grove Baptist Church, 1034 Albert Ave., Norfolk. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at 2453 Spruce St., Norfolk, on Monday at 1 p.m. for the funeral procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is in charge of the arrangements.
