HEZEKIAH CROCKER

Hezekiah Crocker, 87, of the 5400 block of Gaskins Lane, died Nov. 1, 1995, in his residence as a result of a house fire.

He was a native of Nansemond County and was the widower of Blanche Williams Crocker. He was the son of the late Shedrick Crocker Sr. and Mary E. Wright Crocker. He was a retired rigger from the Newport News Shipyard. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Church of God in Christ, Suffolk, where he served as deacon.

He is survived by five sisters, Ethel Mae Jones of Hampton, Annie V. Bailey and Esther I. Morring, both of Norfolk, Manie Clifton of Salisbury, Md. and Mary Lee Hall of Suffolk; brothers, Clarence Crocker Sr., Melvin Crocker, Richard Crocker, and Sherrick Crocker, all of Suffolk, and Vinson David Crocker of Newport News; aunt, Mittie Foster of Suffolk; two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Mt. Lebanon Church of God in Christ by Elder Larry Gray Sr. Burial is in Meadowbrook Memorial Garden, Suffolk. The family will be at the home of Clarence Crocker Sr., 1749 Mt. Lebanon Ave., Suffolk. There will be no public viewing. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
