Esther Crews Patteson, 87, of the 800 block of Gay Ave., died Nov. 4, 1995, in her residence.
She was a native of Lynchburg, Va., and was the widow of John Anderson Patteson. She was a member of Simonsdale Presbyterian Church and Simonsdale Civic Club. She was preceded in death by son, William V. Patteson.
She is survived by daughter, Lois Patteson Monell of Portsmouth; daughter-in-law, Jean Patteson of Coral Gables, Fla.; three grandchildren, William Monell of Portsmouth, Pamela Patteson of Coral Gables, Patty Harrison of Radford, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Heather Harrison and Larry Harrison of Radford; many loving and caring family members and friends; and special cousin, L.A. Crews, and his wife, Odie, of Portsmouth.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Matt Matthews and the Rev. Won Un. Memorial donations may be made to the Simonsdale Presbyterian Church. The family will be at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
