James Hammond Reynolds went to heaven to join his beloved Lord and his wife of 63 years, Frances D. Reynolds, on Nov. 4, 1995. He was 93 years old and lived in the 300 block of Lynn Shores Drive.
Mr. Reynolds, a machinist, had retired from Bemis Bag Co. after 23 years. He was born in Edgefield, S.C. and was a member of Park Place Methodist Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce D. Solomon of Virginia Beach; a son, Francis Hammond Reynolds of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Francis E. Collins. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m.
