Sarah Jane Knight, 53, a telephone operator for C & P Telephone, died Nov. 5, 1995, in Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, Md.
She was born in Norfolk County on May 6, 1942. She was the daughter of Joanna Hill and the late Robert White.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Knight; her mother, Joanna of Churchton, Va.; and a daughter, Devita Woodard of Upper Marlboro. She was the sister of Gracie Powell of Georgia, Betty White of Churchton, Va., Adlee Wright of Portsmouth, James of Missouri and Edward White of California.
Friends may call on Thursday, Nov. 9, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at the Lee Funeral Home, Clinton, Md. Interment in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Md.
