Felton Spellman Sr., 62, of the 200 block of Doyleway St., died Nov. 4, 1995, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.
Mr. Spellman, a custodian, worked for the Virginia Beach School System for 15 years. He was a native of North Carolina and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Spellman; five daughters, Diane Ellis, Darlene Wilson, Dorine Code, Dana Spellman, all of Virginia Beach, and Teresa Manning of North Carolina; four sons, Felton Spellman Jr., Kenneth Spellman, Timothy Spellman, Tyrone Spellman, all of Virginia Beach; four sisters, Rosa Howard, Dorothy Howard, Mary Spellman, all of North Carolina, Selma Morning of Norfolk; four brothers, Leroy Spellman, Roosevelt Spellman, Steven Spellman, William Spellman, all of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Colonial Grove Memorial Park, 3445 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at the home at noon Thursday, Nov. 9, 1995, for the procession to the graveside. Hale Funeral Home, Norfolk, in charge.
