WILLIAM P. WEAVER

William Paul Weaver, 85, of Simpson Court, died Nov. 6, 1995.

DKC Weaver was retired from the U.S. Navy with over 20 years of service. He was also retired from Civil Service, Oceana, as assistant disbursing officer. He was born in Wilson, N.C., and was a deacon and member of Talbot Park Baptist Church. He was a member and past master of Charles T. Morton Masonic Lodge (NU)232 AF & AM. His mother lodge was Ruth Masonic Lodge (NU)89 AF & AM, where he was past master as well. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.

Survivors include his wife of over 51 years, Irene L. Weaver; one daughter, F. Suzanne Weaver, Ph.D., of Lancaster, Pa.; one sister, Myrtle F. Dakos and her husband, Bob, of Norfolk; a brother-in-law, Frank Litter and his wife, Amy, of Winterhaven, Fla.; one grandson, William Paul Weaver III of Lancaster; two nieces, Darlene D. Dorsch of Virginia Beach and Stephanie Pressman of Springfield, Mo.; nephews, L.J. Dakos of Chesapeake and John Litter of Springfield. He was predeceased by a son, William P. ``Bill'' Weaver.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Talbot Park Baptist Church, by Dr. Tim Dixon. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
