Norfolk State's men's basketball team will be on display for the first time this season at 7:30 tonight as the Spartans take on the Brisbane Bullets, a club team from Australia, at Echols Arena.
The men's game will follow a 5:30 Green and Gold intrasquad scrimmage by the women's team.
The Spartans are coming off a Division II Final Four appearance in which they finished 26-7. Four starters return, including the backcourt combination of junior Maurice Whitfield and senior Carnell Penn.
Senior Derrick Bryant is expected to move to the small forward position while senior Blitz Wooten holds down the center spot.
Junior Rodney Carmichael and sophomore Sean Blackwell, a transfer from Virginia Wesleyan, are expected to contend for the power forward position. by CNB
