FREE WEEKEND PARKING AT NAUTICUS

The city of Norfolk and Nauticus are cooperating to validate weekend parking for Norfolk residents who visit Nauticus through Dec. 30.

The validated parking will be provided in two municipal parking facilities, the Town Point Lot at Boush and Plume streets and the City Hall Avenue Garage at the corner of City Hall Avenue and Boush Street. To take advantage of the free parking, residents should purchase a Nauticus admission ticket, show identification that indicates Norfolk residency and the Nauticus box office staff will validate the parking ticket, which must be presented to the cashier upon leaving the garage.

Nauticus' Saturday and Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $7.50 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 through 12. Younger children are admitted free. Validated parking will not be in effect Nov. 18 and Nov. 25. Call 441-2561 for more information. by CNB
