Dorothy V. Hinnant

NORFOLK - Dorothy Viola Hinnant, of the 1200 block of Bunsen Court, died Nov. 6, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Norfolk and was a member of Christ Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a housewife.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil Hinnant; nine daughters, Ruth Jones, Yvonne Jamison, Jackie Harrison, all of Norfolk, Sheila Smith, Joyce Anthony, Patricia Ali, Dorothy Hinnant, all of Norfolk, Mary Roberts of Hamilton, Ohio, and Dianah Shoffner of Greensboro, N.C.; two sons, Cecil Hinnant of Norfolk and Marvin Hinnant of Norfolk; three brothers, Samuel Hodges of Norfolk, Willie Hodges of New York, and Albert Hodges of Norfolk; 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Christ Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Mosses Davis. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The body will be ready for viewing today at 3 p.m. The family will assemble at noon for the procession. A Wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
