George E. Williams Sr., 87, of the 6500 block of Adair Ave., died Nov. 7, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Williams, a retired truck driver, worked for Adley Freight. He was a Methodist and a native of Capeville, Va. He was a member of the Retiree's Union at Adley Freight.
Survivors include his wife, Mary M. Williams; three daughters, Betty Maude Barrett and Elva F. Priolo, both of Chesapeake, and Sandra Sue Hansen of Norfolk; three sons, George E. Williams Jr. of Capeville, Clark Ray Williams of Chesapeake, James R. Williams of Blue Ridge, Va.; 29 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Rosewood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the residence, 6531 Adair Ave., Norfolk, for visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Floral tributes should be sent to the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, 601 Childrens Lane, Norfolk, Va. 23507. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, in charge.
