Linwood C. Mitchell, 84, of the 1400 block of Wilroy Road, died Nov. 7, 1995, in Maryview Medical Center.
Mr. Mitchell, a retired electrician, worked for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth. He was the widower of Peggy Mitchell and a native of Stoney Creek, Va.
Survivors include one sister, Elizabeth M. Buckner of Norfolk; one brother, Floyd Mitchell of Manchester, Conn.; one half-brother, Rudolph Ramsey of Hopewell, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Dr. Alan Felumlee. Friends may join the family in Hill Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today, and other times in the home of Paul Holland, 1108 Elm St., Suffolk. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
