Thelma L. Silver
PORTSMOUTH - Thelma L. Silver, 72, of the 1600 block of Belafonte Drive, died Nov. 5, 1995.
She was a native of Portsmouth and a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Temple where she was involved in the usher board (NU)2, and the Lay Women's Society.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Silver; daughter, Yvonne Silver Thomas and son-in-law, Donald O. Thomas; son, Keith L. Silver and daughter-in-law, Kathleen Griffin Silver; two sisters, Florence Moore and Sophia Goodrich Williams; brother, Eugene Goodrich; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; eight nieces; three nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Craig Avants and the Rev. James O. Haskins in Mt. Hermon Baptist Temple. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
