Police have arrested a 23-year-old Richmond man and charged him with murder in the Oct. 5 shooting death of a 39-year-old woman whose body was found in Newport News.
Herolyn Rose was picked up early Tuesday in Richmond and returned to Newport News, where he was charged with murder and two weapons violations, police said.
The body of Frances M. Slater of Richmond was found on Hogan Drive about 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 5. She had died from a gunshot wound.
