A man has been arrested and charged with murder in the stabbing death of a 34-year-old man Tuesday night.
Michael D. Pelton of the 2900 block of Barkley Ave. died at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Pelton was stabbed at his home.
Police arrested Daniel B. Whaley, 40, of the 80 block of Kansas Ave. in Portsmouth.
It is believed that the two men had been arguing when Pelton was stabbed, said police spokeswoman Amber Whittaker. She didn't say when the stabbing occurred.
