The Commonwealth College Law Society will sponsor a discussion with state Sen. Kenneth W. Stolle at 6 p.m. Wednesday at 301 Centre Pointe Drive. The discussion will focus on House Bill H.R. 666, recently passed by the House and Senate Bills S.3 and S.54, currently before the Senate.
H.R. 666 would expand the good faith rule regarding searches and seizures without a warrant of probable cause by police. Senate Bills S.3 and S.54 would abolish the Exclusionary Rule in federal courts and enlarge relief under this Federal Tort Claims Act for victims of unlawful searches and seizures.
