Bessie Mae Mason, 55 years old, of 26270 Ridley Road, died Nov. 9, 1995, in Riverside Hospital, Newport News.
Mrs. Mason was a native of Newsoms, and the daughter of the late Charlie and Ruth Grant, and the wife of Melvin Mason. She was a housewife and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Newsoms.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin A. Mason; two sons, Gregory A. Mason and Melvin L. Mason; one daughter, Melinda A. Mason; daughter-in-law, Jonelle A. Mason; one brother, Earl Grant; one sister, Mable Grant; and two grandchildren, Taylor and Justina Mason.
A funeral will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Piney Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. T. L. Parker officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery, Como, N.C. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
