John Tinnie Satterfield Jr., 85, of the 4000 block of King St., died Nov. 8, 1995, in his residence.
He was a native of Roxboro, N.C., and was the widower of Effie Carroll Satterfield. He was retired from Seaboard Railroad.
Mr. Satterfield is survived by three daughters, June Wilks of Chesapeake, Doris Cruden of Portsmouth, Sara Herrin of Suffolk; four sons, John T. Satterfield III of Chesapeake, Frankie Satterfield of Portsmouth, Kenny Satterfield of Portsmouth and his wife Mary, and Joseph Satterfield of Sunbury, N.C.; 21 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Freddie Clark Satterfield and Michael Anthony Satterfield.
A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial is in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m and at other times at 1043 City Park Ave., Apt. B, Portsmouth.
