Harold ``Cubby'' Morgan, 42, of the 200 block of Country Club Blvd., died Nov. 8, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
He was a health and physical education teacher for the Norfolk City Schools. He taught at the Azalea Gardens Middle School. He was a native of Fulton, Ky., and was presently a lieutenant commander for the U.S. Naval Reserve. He also was a surface line officer with U.S. Navy for 10 years. He was a 1971 graduate of Lake Taylor High School and he attended the University of Richmond. He was a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and he received his masters degree at the Naval Post Graduate School. He coached volleyball at Lake Taylor High School and he was a member of the Tidewater Volleyball Association and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his his wife, Elizabeth Fidler Morgan; daughter, Melissa Morgan of Chesapeake; two sons, Forrest Morgan and Hunter Morgan, both of Chesapeake; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Robert Morgan of Goose Creek, S.C.; two sisters, Constance Durfee of Knoxville, Tenn., and Cissy Hayes of Charleston, S.C.; brother, Jim Morgan of Memphis, Tenn.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday by Capt. William R. May in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of one's choice.
