A New York-based health care group said 375 Hampton Roads doctors have signed on with the network. MultiPlan Inc. physicians have been providing reduced-price health care to member patients for about three months. The company plans to have as many as 700 participating doctors. The physicians are part of the MultiPlan Preferred Network of more than 6,000 doctors and health care professionals in Virginia, Maryland and Washington. Nationally MultiPlan has about 1,000 clients such as insurance companies and self-insured companies. About 20 million people in the country, including 65,000 in Hampton Roads, are covered by MultiPlan benefits. (Associated Press) by CNB
