Capital One Financial Corp., a Falls Church-based credit card company, will hire another 1,000 people next year, Chairman and CEO Richard D. Fairbank said. Capital One now employs 3,000 people in seven sites around Richmond and has other operations in Fredericksburg and Tampa, Fla. The bulk of the new hiring will be in Richmond. The company also plans to build a $30 million operations center in the Innsbrook Corporate Center in Richmond. (AP) by CNB
