A 21-year-old man was arrested Thursday and charged with the Oct. 26 murder of a Navy man as well as another assault.
Shawn Walston was arrested just before noon in the 300 block of W. 28th St. He was charged with capital murder, robbery and two counts of using a gun in a felony.
The charges stem from the death of Richard J. Khouri of the 1000 block of Buckingham Ave.
Police received a call about 11:30 p.m. Oct. 26 that someone was slumped over the wheel of a car at Maltby and Corprew avenues. When rescue workers arrived, they found Khouri dead in his gray 1985 Porsche.
Khouri was stationed at Norfolk Naval Base.
Police have also charged Walston with malicious wounding, a third count of using a firearm in a felony and possession of a sawed-off shotgun in connection with a Jan. 6 incident in the 2700 block of Granby St.
