SIMPLE FOOD, GOOD HEALTH

Regarding ``Stop this meat-eating frenzy!'' (letter, Oct. 21):

The downward trend of ill health and disease today points squarely to the food manufacturers, in their stripping of natural nutrients and replacing them with artificial components and chemicals. It's a disgrace, as are the pollutants in our environments.

Anything that represents work of preparation toward good health, people want no part of. I was taught a sensible middle line - a protein, green vegetable, a yellow vegetable and a starch. It's as simple as that.
