It would be corporate suicide for a company to knowingly pollute a river. The meatpacking company in Smithfield has jumped through all the regulation hoops that the government requires. The Pagan River is a healthy home for fish, otter, crabs, mussels, etc.
The only result that comes from smear tactics by so-called environmentalists is to dampen our economy and drive companies such as this out of our state.
