Shirley Ruth Jordan, 64, died Nov. 9, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital. Mrs. Jordan, the widow of Alvin Mitchell Jordan Sr., was a native of Montville, Conn.
Survivors include one daughter, Teresa M. Clements of Portsmouth; three sons, Alvin M. Jordan Jr. of Memphis, Tenn., William M. Jordan of Suffolk, Steven T. Jordan of Smithfield, Va.; two sisters, Barbara Benkey of Long Beach, Calif., Mildred Liddell of York, S.C.; three brothers, Jacque Hammond of Charlotte, N.C., Charles Hammond of Montville, Raymond Hammond of Enfield, Conn.; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Jay Ashby. The family will be at the residence.
