James Curtis Geddie, 80, of the first block of Chatham Road, died Nov. 9, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Geddie, a native of Vander, N.C., was retired from the Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Norfolk Real Estate Division, management and disposal branch. He was a member of Cradock Presbyterian Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Hamilton Geddie; one son, James Edgar Geddie and his wife, Nora G., of Gary, N.C.; a granddaughter, Leonora Allyson Geddie; and twin grandsons, Alexander Whitaker Geddie and Charles Hamilton Geddie.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 1995, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Richard W. Lovingood. Entombment is in Greenlawn Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Craddock Presbyterian Church.
