NEWSOMS - Bessie Mae Mason, 55, of 26270 Ridley Road, died Nov. 8, 1995, in Riverside Memorial Hospital.
She retired from H.P. Beales meat packing plant. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Newsoms.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin A. Mason; two sons, Seaman Apprentice Melvin L. Mason, USS John C. Stennis, U.S. Navy, Newport News, and Capt. Gregory A. Mason, commander, 41st Ordinance Company, U.S. Army, Kaiserslautern, Germany; a daughter, Melinda A. Mason of Newsoms; one sister, Mable Grant of Newsoms; four uncles; four aunts; one mother-in-law; one daughter-in-law, Jonelle Mason; two granddaughters, Justina and Taylor; nieces; nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. in Piney Grove Baptist Church. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
