Retired Tech. Sgt. Isaac T. Hayes, Sr., 62, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 1995.
A native of Norfolk, he had been a resident of the Peninsula for a number of years. He was a member of First Church of Newport News (Baptist) and retired from the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucille C. Hayes of Newport News; two sons, Isaac T. Hayes Jr. and Rodney Q. Hayes, both of Richmond; a daughter, Angela S. Hayes-Crump of Richmond; two grandchildren, Kameron Crump and Keenan Crump of Richmond; aunts, Thelma M. Hayes of Virginia Beach and Hattie Wells of Rockville, Md.; uncle, Clarence Hayes of Philadelphia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Nov. 13, 1995, at First Church of Newport News (Baptist) with Dr. Fred J. Boddie Jr., officiating. Entombment will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Viewing will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel and two hours before the service Monday at the church. Family and friends will assemble at 1133 Marshall Place by 11:15 a.m.
