Laurine Bray Garrett, 93, of 5620 Pontiac Road, died Thursday night, Nov. 9, 1995, in Hill Haven Convalescence Center.
She had been a resident of the nursing home for 12 years and was a member of the Kempsville Baptist Church. She was a native of Pasquotank County, and the daughter of the late Benjamin Fred Bray and Della Harris Bray. She was the widow of Linwood Randolph Garrett.
Survivors include one son, Carlton B. Garrett and his wife, Norma Smithson Garrett, of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Larry C. Garrett of Chesapeake and Cindy G. Sullivan of Virginia Beach; one brother, Lem Bray of Elizabeth City; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Old Hollywood Cemetery by the Rev. Glenn Greenway. Burial will follow the service. The family will assemble at Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Church Street, at 10 a.m. today to greet friends and family.
