Leo Thomas Barber, 65, of 1800 block of Strafford Place, Roanoke, Va., died Nov. 10, 1995, in a Roanoke hospital.
Mr. Barber, a native of Portsmouth, was the owner and operator of Commonwealth Lighting Inc., Roanoke. He was a member of BPO Elks Lodge 197, Knights of Columbus 562, and the Hidden Valley Country Club, Salem, Va. He received his B.S. degree from Virginia Tech and M.S. degree from Lynchburg College. He was a silver lifetime member of the Virginia Tech Hokie Club.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Gibson Barber; three sons, Leo T. ``Tommy'' Barber Jr. of Virginia Beach, Steven T. ``Timmy'' Barber of Chapel Hill, N.C., Charles T. ``Terry'' Barber of Hawaii; a sister, Anne Barber Bowers of Chesapeake; two brothers, Richard E. Barber III of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, James J. Barber of Portsmouth; and three grandchildren, Michael, Kelly and Jacob Barber all of Chapel Hill.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 1995, in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, by the Rev. Thomas B. Nee. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, Suffolk, and at other times at 5300 High St. West, Portsmouth. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
