Earl Franklin Grady, 68, of 2564 Pruden Blvd., died Nov. 10, 1995, in his home.
He was a native of Kinston, N.C., and was an Episcopalian. He was a self-employed ceramic tile contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Privette Grady; five daughters, Cheryl G. Styron, of Beaufort, N.C., Laura G. Mills of Concord, Va., Claudia G. Branchaud, Patricia G. Daughtrey, and Meri G. Carr, all of Suffolk; two sons, Andrew Earl Grady of Chesapeake and Robert P. Grady of Suffolk; a sister, Wilma G. Hill of Kinston; four brothers, John Grady of Emerald Isle, N.C., James Grady, Wilber E. Grady Jr. and Vernon Grady, all of Kinston; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Vonnie Mae Hawkins and Wilbur E. Grady; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Boyce Grady.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Elwood Oliver. Inurnment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 4 to 5 p.m. and other times at the residence. They ask that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23434.
