Senior Chief Petty Officer Ralph E. Baker, 76, of the 4400 block of Drury Circle, died Nov. 11, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Baker retired from the U.S. Navy in 1964 after 24 years of service. He was also retired from Stanwick Corporation and Q.E.D. He was a native of Warsaw, N.Y., and past master of Naomi Masonic Lodge (NU)87, and a member of Norfolk Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Temple of the Shrine. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Edith C. Baker; two daughters, Sandra Wiley of Chesapeake and Sharon Tarkenton of Virginia Beach; three granddaughters, Andrea Tarkenton, Kim and Kris Wiley; and a son-in-law, Ward Wiley.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Monday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association. Masonic rites will be accorded at the grave.
