Royal R. Clodfelter, 85, of the 500 block of Kirkwood Lane, died Nov. 10, 1995, in his residence after a courageous fight with his illness.
He was a native of Raleigh, N.C., and had lived in Virginia Beach for the past 55 years. He was a retired superintendent of construction with E.T. Gresham Co. and was a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church and its senior citizen group.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lucas Clodfelter; a daughter, Regina Marcotte of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mary Clodfelter Gilliam of Smithfield, Va.; three precious grandchildren, Ashely Marie Marcotte, Eric Evan Marcotte and Michelle Lynn Marcotte, all of Virginia Beach.
The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum by the Rev. Robert L. Crute. Memorial donations may be sent to the National Hospice Organization or the building funds of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church, 4392 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, Va. 23452. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is in charge.
