DICK C. POOLE

Dick Croshaw Poole, 68, of 125 Brandon Lane, died Nov. 11, 1995, at Obici Hospital.

Mr. Poole was a native of Stoney Creek, Va., and was the son of the late John Percy and Eleanor Croshaw Poole. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and had retired as a sergeant with the Franklin Police Department after 32 years of service. He had also retired as director of security for Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a member of its Christian Men's Bible Class. Mr. Poole was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Franklin Masonic Lodge (NU)151 AF&AM.

Survivors include his wife, Marion Drake Poole; one daughter, Elizabeth Poole Holland; one son, Richard A. Poole, both of Franklin; one sister, Elizabeth Poole Chenet of Longwood, Fla.; one grandchild, Travis Poole Holland.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Franklin Baptist Church by Dr. Roy DeBrand, Rev. Sharon James, and Rev. Kenneth Williams. The burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence and suggests that memorials be made to the Franklin Baptist Church or the National Kidney Foundation, 7315 Harpersville Road, Newport News, Va. 23601. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
